As title suggests,
I'm having issues controlling my brightness. I think it's a x11 xorg config issue. Ive had issues with all Linux Distros.
I get the acpi_video0 error message during boot up.
I added in the /etc/default/grub file
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=acpi_os=linux acpi_backlight=native
then I ran the grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg command, returns with no errors.
The boot error is gone, but I still don't have backlight control.
I tried editing the /sys/class/backlight/amdgpu_bl0/brightness file, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Found this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270125
Which touches on the topic, and I tried adding the x11 config file, but Linux boots to a black screen. I try manually restarting lightdm, but to no avail (sudo systemctl restart lightdm)
I noticed, some people resolved the issue by booting with discrete graphics instead of switchable.
I tried that, and the brightness gui didn't even pop up when trying keyboard shortcuts.
I checked my /sys/class/backlight dir, and noticed that there weren't any symlinks like before.
Anyways, I'm kinda stuck now. Been working at it for a couple days.

When using switchable graphics setting on my bios.
adding amdgpu.backlight=0 to my /etc/default/grub file works. Gonna put this as solved.
