Hi,
In previous version of okular (21.04.3-2), after highlighting a text by typing 1, a right click on the highlighted use to give a pop-up menu that allow to add comments the highlighting or or to erase it. It was very efficient and easy to make annotations in pdf. Unfortunatly the last verion of okular (21.08.0-1), this does not work anymore.
Does any one have the same problem with okular version 21.08.0-1?
Does anyone have an alternative solution in order to comment highlighted text in okular version 21.08.0-1?
Downgrading to version 21.04.3-2 solve the problem here but that's not a definitive solution!

The popup menu works for me when I have the "Browse" (Ctrl+1) tool selected, but not in "text selection" mode. (Okular 21.08.2)

Maybe you misunderstood me, it depends on the general mouse mode on what you can do with highlighted text:
if I start in mode Ctrl + "1" ("Browse"), then press "1" to highlight text and do that, I can now right click the highlighted section to edit and delete it.
Starting in mode Ctrl + "4" ("Text Selection"), I can press "1" to highlight text as well. If I do that, then afterwards I cannot right click the highlighted section.
If I switch to Ctrl + "1" I can delete again.

Ok. I understand now. I tried here with the english interface and found the same behavior. I will comment on the bug report this more precise understanding of whats works (thank you) and what don't work that you explained. It seems I am almost always in Text selection mode when I'm making annotation, because I never encountered the situation for which things works normally. Strange. Thank you for clarifying things.

The developper think it is not a bug. You can vote there if you want.
