[SOLVED]how to configure external monitor without switching to nvidia

I am using an external monitor on my laptop and for some reason it does not detect it, i tried it on another distro (kali) and it works properly. After going through forums and wiki i think the issue is i am using runtimeD3 (prime-render-offload) so how do i configure it as i don't want to switch completely to nvidia gpu because of battery life is there a way to do it without that?

btw i am using lts-kernel on dell g3 3590 with nvidia 1650ti.

Not sure what other info i am supposed to provide so, just let me know what you need, thank you

Never mind, i ended up using optimus manager to switch to nvidia when i wanted to use the monitor amd using mons to configure it
