[SOLVED] i3wm config has errors after update?

Hello guys,

so after updating i3wm to 4.20, i3 is not picking up my configuration parameters. It is not, for example, opening certain programs in the workspace I assigned them to.
I'm pretty new to i3 and Arch in general, so can anybody tell me what I have to do?

My config file is in

 .config/i3/

It is all back to normal after I rebooted like two or three times. Weird, never happened to me after updating i3wm.

Sounds like a race condition - is your $HOME encrypted or otherwise mounted late?
Do you use systemd-homed?

Yes, it is LVM encrypted.
I am not using systemd-homed.

(Do you auto-mount it w/ the boot process? => Check the old journal. Maybe the crng was late, the mount delayed and you logged into the unmounted $HOME)
