I'm not sure what it happening, but I just finished my arch installation, still have no window manager, just wanted to install some packages from the AUR. I'm using wi-fi on this laptop, connected to the internet with iwctl, and I did what I believe is the full configuration required from the installation guide. But I noticed this weird error:
[hugo@archlaptop ~]$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git

This error happened with all the other AUR packages I tested for. But, on my arch install on my main machine, which uses ethernet (but is essentially the same router, same network), everything works according to plan, so it means the problem is with my laptop's network configuration.
Here's me pinging archlinux.org from this laptop:
[hugo@archlaptop yay]$ ping archlinux.org
PING archlinux.org(archlinux.org (2a01:4f9:c010:6b1f::1)) 56 data butes
64 bytes from archlinux.org (2a01:4f9:c010:6b1f::1): icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=66.7 ms
Here's me pinging 8.8.8.8:
[hugo@archlaptop yay]$ ping 8.8.8.8
ping: connect: Network is unreachable
It seems to me that my laptop doesn't work that well with ipv4?
I've tried my best searching the web for awnsers, but either the question isn't the same, or I get completely overwhelmed and simply don't have the knowledge to follow the guides on network troubleshooting.
`ip route show` does not give any output, but `ip -6 route` prints some stuff
Here's the output to `ip address show`:

Sorry for bad quality pastebin, on another topic I opened I was recommended to use pastebin scripts, but because of this internet problem I couldn't manage to download them. I notice in comparison, my main arch machine has a inet line in wlan0, but my laptop doesn't, maybe that's it? I just don't know what to do at all
Thanks in advance

Also report it for merging w/ your original thread, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270621
You don't have na IPv4 lease, so you can't ping IPv4 IPs - how do you obtain the lease? iwd/dhcp, dhcpcd, static, …?

I'm sorry, I have very, very limited knowledge on the subject, I do not know what is the awnser. I know I have been using iwd to connect to the internet

If you use iwd, then you can tell it to run DHCP and ask for an IPv4 address: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Iwd#En … figuration
If you do not want that, then you'll have to run (edit: and configure) an additional program (systemd-networkd, dhcpcd, dhclient, networkmanager, connman, ...)

Thanks! This was it! Added all those lines to /etc/iwd/main.conf and it worked!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
