[SOLVED] Chromium exceeds display size when maximized

Chromium version 95 doesn't maximize correctly, resulting in the window border on all sides outside the display area: https://imgur.com/a/WVtzQn9
I am using XFWM and I have "Use system title bars" disabled in the Chromium settings.
Downgrading to Chromium 94 resolves the issue.

I'm the type to fling myself headlong through the magical wardrobe, and then incinerate the ornate mahogany portal behind me with a Molotov cocktail.

Re: [SOLVED] Chromium exceeds display size when maximized

Additionally, if "Use system title bars" is enabled and maximized, chromium will stop receiving mouse input on the right and bottom sides of the screen. Instead, the mouse event reaches the window underneath. In this screenshot, I can right click on the chromium window and the context menu of xfdesktop appears: https://imgur.com/a/TbDrl1V
Again, if I downgrade to version 94, the issue goes away.

Re: [SOLVED] Chromium exceeds display size when maximized

It's not just you. A workaround is to maximize the window, then close Chromium, and reopen it. It will stay maximized, but contained properly within the screen.

Also, the settings menu no longer lets you scroll down through all the sections, it only displays one section at a time. I'm not sure if that's intended.

I have the same problem.
I searched for the issue, found just this thread with the same problem reporting.
Does anyone know about reported upstream bug?

Having the same problem, too.
Chromium: 95.0.4638.54
DE: xfce 4.16

Downgrading to Chromium 94.0.4606.81 resolves the issue.

Re: [SOLVED] Chromium exceeds display size when maximized

It looks like we have just wait or help in upstream bugs:

https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/is … id=1261797
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/is … id=1260821

There is an activity there.

Re: [SOLVED] Chromium exceeds display size when maximized

Maximize behavior appears to be corrected as of chromium 95.0.4638.69-2 and/or xfwm4 4.16.1-3.
