FDE and then restoring from btrfs backup

I first tried to do a encrypted installation of arch with btrfs file system initially.

I failed after a couple of attempts and just gave up. I went with a regular btrfs installation.

I am interesting in tackling this again. Is it possible to do a fresh install with FDE, then restore everything (including /home) using my current btrfs snapshot? I have timeshift installed.

My thinking is to:
1) copy the current snapshot to a flashdrive
2) fresh install with FDE
3) install timeshift
4) restore using the snapshot in the flashdrive

will there be any problems doing this? I'm particularly worried doing /home, because previously when I tried to restore from a snapshot that included /home, it ruined the computer preventing me to login. I had to remount the /home to @home or somethihng and I was able to boot up. But I had to keep repeating this every boot.
