Wifi trouble

Hello, I am fairly new to Arch Linux and just Linux in general. I have decided to install Arch Linux for a school project and I am currently having issues getting my wifi to work. Arch Linux is not installed yet and I have connected to a network but when I test out the wifi with #ping archlinux.org I get 100% packet loss. This does not happen when I use ethernet can anybody help?

You might require an out-of-tree driver and/or firmware but in order to make an informed comment we need some information about the system:

lspci; lsusb; journalctl -b

If you've a working internet connection (ethernet) after trying to use the wifi

(lspci; lsusb; journalctl -b) | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io

and post the returned url.

How would I be able to send such lengths of text from one laptop to another? I have seen programs that do that but I can't add them because my USB drive is formatted with Arch Linux already.

No wired ethernet?

Do you have a phone?

Do you have another usb key?
You can just mount that and redirect the output there and carry it over to a system with internet access.

I have wired ethernet at home but that limits the amount of time that I can do this project considering there is no ethernet at my school. I will probably try tethering as that seems like a good option. I don't believe I have another USB key but I may be able to find one.
