[SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

I recently installed Arch on my laptop, i have been using it on my main stationary pc for months now but as i do not have a wifi card in it i havent ran into this problem before. Ethernet is not a problem, it works just fine. But it seems my wifi card cant load the firmware. I have gone through contless threads on similar topics and tried their solutions but to no avail. Im using NetworkManager if thats relevant, below ive put the outputs of a couple commands i think might be useful. I have tried enabling dhcpcd manually and the dhcpcd@interface.service.

$ dmesg | grep firmware

EDIT, SOLUTION: Something seems to have gone wrong with the original install of the linux-firmware package, had an extremely small update and it fixed things. Thanks Scimmia!

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

First off, please use code tags for logs and things.

Ok, then, it looks like you might have missed installing linux-firmware.

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

Hey, just fixed that. Thank you.

It seems the firmware is there.

$ ls /usr/lib/modules/5.14.14-arch1-1/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi
dvm  iwlwifi.ko.zst  mvm

This exact thing is why i am so confused.

EDIT: i installed the firmware via linux-firmware package.

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

That's not firmware, that's the module. You missed the second line of my post.

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

Check my edit, i realized that might be the issue today and did just that. But it hasnt done anything for me. I have restarted multiple times between that and now.

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

There's no way you would get the log provided with linux-firmware installed. It includes 3 of the files that the log says is missing.

Re: [SOLVED] I cannot get iwlwifi to load

I tried reinstalling it and it seems some files were missing from when i first installed it. There was just a minor sub megabyte update. Thank you.
