This is a system with AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radion Vega Graphics.
During boot, there is a certain point in time, where the system usually somehow switches from one Display mode to another, I suspect.
(At least, the display turns black for a second or two and then comes back again with slightly different fonts.)
Today, after upgrading from Kernel 5.14.14 to Kernel 5.14.15, the following problem occurs:
The already mentioned display mode switch does not succeed anymore. Instead of turning the display back on, the display remains dark and the monitor enters power saving mode. The system does not react to keystrokes anymore.
Downgrading from Kernel 5.14.15 to Kernel 5.14.14 again, solves the problem.
Can someone confirm this problem?

Had exact same problem with my laptop, posted about an hour ago in this thread, I also downgraded 5.14.14 and now I'm trying to solve the problem. It seems that there is only an issue with APU graphics, because amdgpu for my discrete works fine.

Yes, I can confirm on 3200G as well.

I was facing the same problem (Ryzen 3400G). After enabling IOMMU in the BIOS settings as suggested by this Reddit post, it works again with the latest kernel (5.14.16).

Thanks for the update, michaelhelmling.
Upgrading to linux-5.15.2.arch1-1 fixed it for me. (even without fiddling with BIOS settings)
