At Talk:Visual Studio Code a user insists that Microsoft Visual Studio Code is free software, while according to my understanding its license is not free software. What do you people think?

What value is there in having a forum thread to discuss a wiki page's Talk page?
Either way, it seems like an open and shut case already. If they insist on reverting your edits, you can always ask the maintenance team for help:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ArchWi … nance_Team
Futhermore they were explicitly *not* allowed to revert your modifications in the way that they did:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Help:P … nt-related
So yeah, that is definitely one for the maintenance team, if they insist on keeping that up.
Then again, your own edit was essentially just a revert of one of their prior edits, you would have been expected to discuss this with them *before* reverting it, as well. So they may have been in the right by reverting your edit.

Thank you for your answer and the links, Ammako. This forum thread is an invitation to join the wiki talk page, so any comment on the issue should be posted there. However discussing about ArchWiki rules may well be done here.
Do you know if the ArchWiki has any template similar to Wikipedia's {{Reply to}}? That would facilitate sending notifications to users when they are involved in a wiki discussion.

I'm not sure. But the maintenance team should be able to help if there are any questions. Don't really worry about bothering them, it is emphasized that you can *always* ask them for help.
If you can do IRC, there might be some presence on there, and that might be quicker than waiting for someone to see an email:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ArchWiki:IRC
(Sorry if my original reply sounded rude or dismissive, btw.)

Thank you again and no worries, Ammako. Hopefully the discussion in the ArchWiki will never get hot enough for requiring the maintenance team.

Once you have edited a page, by default you are assigned as a watcher, so you get an email for all subsequent edits until you opt out.

Right, I had forgotten about that.
