Rename Windows in Grub Menu to Windows 8 or Windows 10

Hi,

i have 1 Arch, 2 Ubuntu and 2 Windows (8 and 10). Arch is the default system. When Ubuntu is the default system i can change the name of the grub entry FOR THE DEFAULT UBUNTU in the file "/etc/default/grub". This has no effect of other Linux system. For other *-nix grub used os-prober. os-prober reads the information about the other Linux from the file /etc/lsb-release in the root dir of the Systems. Now i have an entry "Kubuntu" and "Xubuntu" instead of two called "Ubuntu".

Can i do the same for the Windows? Is the same file used for Windows? Can i change the name in grub menu in a similar way?

P.S.
-> I know there "grub customizer" but i don't want to use it. Very bad experience wuth it.
-> I also know i can create a 40_custom file. When some changed on the system are made i have to edit the script.
