MPD

I noticed that MPD 0.12.0 is out and has been flagged out of date. Since it looks like nobody is going to do a build I figured I might try my hand at it and give back a <i>very</i> little bit to Arch. What is the process for building/submitting a package upgrade? I have looked a bit into ABS & makepkg junk, but that seems more directed towards building custom packages.

The official packages are all taken care of by the devs. Since it's already been flagged out of date it probably won't be too long until it's updated.

If you want to run a more current version there is an svn version in the AUR, and shadowhand has a repo with the svn version in as well. (though it looks like the AUR one hasn't been updated lately either).
