Mounting HDDs on startup takes 13 seconds

Hello,

I have two BTRFS formatted hard drives in my system, 2TiB sda1 and 1TiB sda2. I was checking out if I could do anything to speed up my boot time with systemd-analyze blame, when I noticed that mnt-sda1.mount and mnt-sda2.mount take 12 and 1.2 seconds respectively. Any ideas why it's so long? Both disks have "compression=zstd:10" set as mount options.

If it's just slow HDDs, is there a way to delay mounting after the system booted up?

you can look into the noauto option in fstab. In essense, it delays mounting the drive until the drive it accessed by some process.
