the clock is hardware... right?

In any  case multiple times after logging into arch the clock is off. Twice now I've checked and the clock says it is the year 2040 at 21:56 when in reality it is 2021 at 10:59. So usually after a few minutes it will get its bearings and snap into pllace but this time it has been about 10 minutes. Anyone heard of such a problem? How do I fix it? I'll give it the 'ol microsoft fix and see if that fixes it (a reboot).

Re: the clock is hardware... right?

Did you read through all of the linked wiki page particularly the sections from Time skew to the end?
Edit:

You installed / enabled a time sync service?

The service failed?
