Hello Community!
I was just browsing the AUR for GNUStep-Applications just to be shocked that they are in community but orphaned! It's a shame that no-one is maintaining them anymore. So here is my question: is anyone interested in taking Maintainership of those poor little packages? I dunno, perhaps I will take a quick shuftie on the PKGBUILDs and update them myself but I can not say yet. So far: anyone? Please? Pretty-please?
Also, a package of gworkspace and talksoup would be nice.
Cheers, mucknert

Ask on the TUR ML. Maybe a TU will be willing to update/adopt them. I don't have time to do it but if you can come up with updated PKGBUILD and can test them, send them to me (or to the list), I could find time next week-end to do the update.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be going over them this evening.

Since the 4 gnustep base packages are in community, it appears they were adopted by a TU (maybe Vegai ? ) some time ago.
Only TU's can update community packages.
Good luck with making new packages for gnustep , mucknert.
I've been working on a new package for oolite , a game that is made with gnustep and frankly i am starting to dislike gnustep a lot.
They have almost NO configure options in their makefiles.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Well, seems like bumping up the Version-Numbers in the official PKBUILDs from community did the trick.

I've updated the gnustep packages. Let me know if there's problems.
I won't put gworkspace or talksoup in community as I'm not interested maintaining this stuff. You could try building them yourself. Use the gnustep-* PKGBUILD as an example for the make lines.

Thanks heap, snowman! I will try to make those other packages myself and upload them to the AUR.

A part from the upgrade, I also did some fixes (missing depends, license, etc.) so you should use the community packages instead of the ones you compiled yourself to test the upgrade.

Can do!
