Hello,

I wonder why there is no German ArchCommunity-Board. There are French und Italian boards.
I think it would make ArchLinux more popular in Germany with an arch-specific board. Perhaps we should give it a try.

If there are people interested it would not be a problem to create a board.

I´m from germany too!!
And i´m intrested in a german ArchLinux-Board. But atm i´m very busy, so i can´t help. But i hope there will be someone.

OK, if I get an OK from the arch-linux-staff, I could create a board on my webspace. It is just one click for me.

I have just created a Test-Board. It is an example of how it might look like. The important point is, that it is not a phpBB. It is a Software which allows to host multipile boards and share forums.

Gut, scheinbar gibt es einige Interessierte. Vielleicht werde ich mal die/den Verantwortlichen kontaktieren, ob die selbst ein Deutsches Board erstellen möchten, oder ob ein externes auch in Ordnung ginge.

@tx-cary: I think it is SuSE (on desktops)

@kth5: We do not need to discuss about how useful a German board will be. If nobody will use it we will just delete it but if there people interested in such a board, it is useful for them. ;-) So we have just to test it and we will see.

I have sent Judd a mail if it is OK to create an unofficial board or if he want to host one on his own server. (if he thinks it is a good idea)

OK, I played with some colors and graphics from the archlinux-site. I also created some forums, so testing may begin.

I did not get any response from the official arch-team, so treat it as an unofficial test-board.

I think localization cuold be a main goal for this board.

To create a german spoken sub-board on bbs.archlinux.org is a better idea than to use an external board.
