LightDM failing to start after update

Hi. I've had Arch installed for about 3 weeks now. I update with pacman about once a week, and the one I did yesterday made my system unable to boot. I installed around 42 packages, if I remember correctly.
This is a laptop, and my specs are RTX 2060, Intel i7 9750H, and 16 gigs of RAM. All my install paths should be default. I also have some stuff from the AUR, but not too much.

When I try to boot into Arch, it loads my drive correctly (dev/sda3) and then displays "Failed to start Light Display Manager", still letting me change to the other tty shells. I'm using the lightdm-slick-greeter, configured to launch X server and my DE, Cinnamon. I don't remember exactly how I installed it, though. But, it's been working for 3 weeks. So something about the update broke it. I suspect Nvidia drivers.
It's worth mentioning that I'm booting off Arch from an external USB HDD, while my main system runs Windows, so technically, I'm dual booting. I'm writing this from my Windows.

Anyways; I've tried re-installing LightDM, Xorg, and Nvidia's drivers (which, looking at the X error log, was having some issues) and then generating a config file. I also re-configured lightdm-slick just to be safe, but it still isn't working.
I'm fully able to access the tty shells, so I can type commands, except ones that include | in them. I'm using a swedish keyboard, where <, >, and | are on the same key, so I use Alt Gr to type |. Trying to do the same thing in tty makes it into a strange double >> symbol, and I can't find another way to type it. My locale and keyboard layout is set correctly, and it works inside Cinnamon, but not in tty.

To start with, I'd like to identify the problem, and if it's Nvidia's drivers or not, and maybe consider looking into installing another display manager. Kind of just want to boot into my system. Remember that I'm sort of mid-tier in tech savviness, and I'll probably be reading most of this from my phone. Thanks in beforehand.
