I have a decent internet connection. When I connect to wifi using wireless manager it connects and I can see that torrents are downloading. When I am trying to access any web based services, I see that the internet is down. This happens very often. I checked dmesgs and found the following entries.

Welcome to the boards, please use [ code ] and not [ b ] for outputs.
Your wifi firmware is crashing, there's not really much you can generally do here, best would be if you reported a bug upstream, some things you can try are renaming the corresponding firmware file (...check the parts of dmesg before the crash) in usr/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-xxxx-29.ucode to force a fallback to an older revision maybe try downgrading linux-firmware outright and maybe testing the LTS kernel or so.

Also see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=262952 & https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 1#p1918191 and https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=271487 and … (not the same crashes, but the iwlwifi FW seems sensitive to powermanagement)

It is fixed now. I downgraded the package and then followed the modprobe parameter settings :-)

Do you have an updated microcode crash dump?
