[SOLVED] Firefox menu glitch

Hi.  About a month ago I started experiencing glitchy menus in Firefox:

I am using my 4 year old Thinkpad T480s with Intel UHD Graphics 620, xorg, the latest Firefox package, the standard kernel (currently 5.15.5-arch1-1), and the following intel packages:

# pacman -Qs intel
local/intel-gmmlib 21.3.2-1
    Intel Graphics Memory Management Library
local/intel-media-driver 21.4.1-1
Intel Media Driver for VAAPI — Broadwell+ iGPUs
local/intel-media-sdk 21.3.2-1
API to access hardware-accelerated video on Intel Gen graphics hardware platforms
local/intel-ucode 20210608-1
Microcode update files for Intel CPUs
local/libmfx 21.3.2-1
    Intel Media SDK dispatcher library

My second Arch box is a desktop with Nvidia graphics and it does not have this issue.  Around the time this first started I tried to fix it by downgrading my recently upgraded gtk3 package, no change.

Does anyone have any ideas on fixing or diagnosing this?  Thank you.

It's a mesa bug: it's been around for several releases now...
