Keyboard sending ghost-inputs in certain programs

Hello,
I just installed arch and KDE on my machine and set it up.
Everything works beatifully, except for when I switch between one window to either Brave, Firefox or Thunderbird, a ctrl+f window opens and my clipboard contents get pasted into it. After that it just iterates through the found text on the site (curiously, in Discord, this issue doesn't occur but it also has the ctrl+f functionality).
I can't close it by clicking the close button but by pressing esc it works fine.
I use a GMMK Pro keyboard. I tried looking if this was a known issue but couldn't find any information.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

[EDIT]: Ok I tested it with no keyboard connected and it did not do it, neither does it send them when i connect another random logitech keyboard to it. Maybe a firmware issue?

Switch "how"? Alt+tab, mouse click, other shortcut, wmctrl, doesn't matter…?

So ctrl+f, ctrl+v, and either enter of F3… smells scipted.
Also only affects browsers? (And thunderbird) - maybe some common 3rd party extension?

Does the spurious input show up in

libinput debug-events

Edit: does the keyboard provide scriptable keys?

no, it doesn't

I also just noticed that it doesn't paste my clipboard but sends something I had in my clipboard previously, super strange...

I'll just jump into my windows VM and try to reset the firmware of the board to factory default and see if it just launches some weird kind of script.
Otherwise, maybe something that doesn't play nice between the keyboard and the input interpreter?

Try the behaviour on X11 - since it's not in libinput, this does rather not come from your keyboard hardware but some userspace process (likely the wayland compositor?) - apparently conditioned by the available HW.
Do you use some special userspace tool, driver, … for some fancy keyboard features?

Okay, so on X11 it doesn't occur.

I mostly only have the KDE apps, I have remapped some buttons on my keyboard but thats stored on hardware and apparently doesn't need drivers. I dont't use any extra programs to add any functionality.

Only thing I could think of is, that I tried adding the middle click scroll with xinput and may have broken something there. Is there any way to reset the xinput-config?

Do "certain programs" happen to all run on xwayland?
Could the ghost input be shadows from input you actually made before (on eg. a native wayland client) and that is now replayed on xwayland?
Does it happen if switching to certainprogram™ is the first thing you do right after the login?

Ok I  switched back from X11 to wayland and tried to recreate the error for the last days and it just doesn't happen anymore lol
