Graphics glitch that makes items (buttons, forms, etc) partial visible
There are multiple programs on my Arch Linux install that are just awful to use because almost everything is rendered halfway. This does not affect programs such as Firefox, Chrome, MuPDF, Gimp, virtualbox, terminals, etc. It does however affect qbittorrent, anki, etc. I have appended the following image to show what I am seeing: Just as a precaution, the image can also be viewed at this link.
The issue is that multiple drop down, fields, inputs, buttons and so on are either is not seen unless they are closer to the top of the program or they are only partially rendered where their bottom part and left part is cut of.
Anybody got an idea on why or how to fix it?

If installed remove xf86-video-intel and all configuration for it and retry.

Tried that and apparently my computer does not need intel drivers to run... anyways, it unfortunately changed nothing. I still have the graphics glitch.
Also: I tried to check for what qbittorrent and anki have in common, and its qt5. However, I can run wireshark-qt without issues.

Nope, I thought it might be the DPI issue…
Since it seems Qt5, it might be the UI style.

QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=PlastiqueI added the LOGGING_RULES myself based on the wiki, just to try different options. I changed the style_override per your idea but it changed nothing. There was no change in the visual representation of any kind. I tried to reboot, changed console, exported the rule, exported as sudo, write to
/etc/environmentbut there was no change in the glitch I see.

I did notice a very interesting change when I killed picom (previously called compton). Every menu, dropdown, etc loaded only in rays of visual data. It does however render fully if I move my mouse over the item a few times. The offset is still wrong, bottom and side parts are not rendered correctly. I have i3-gaps as my wm. The issue still remains after resizing the window of the program or refresh the desktop.

There is no visual change in any program, anki, vlc, firefox, chrome, URXVt, wireshark, etc.
firefox, chrome and urxvt are not Qt5 related anyway - does the problem exist there as well?
And anki doesn't link libqt5* either…
I did notice a very interesting change when I killed picom

I am fully aware that firefox, etc have nothing to do with Qt5. That is why I wrote that they are not affected in an older post 
. I do not however know what the source of this issue is. It seems to be Qt related. Maybe. And no, Firefox, chrome, etc is not affected by this issue.

Setting the style to Plastique should™ make it look more like https://i.imgur.com/JLuwo.png (notice the buttons and sliders) - does that happen?

Nope. No matter how I try to change the style it always looks like https://ibb.co/K29fYrk. I managed to get a better image because I re-scaled the anki window a few times. But whenever buttons, etc are newly created they may never become fully rendered. Especially dropdown items and things that are at the bottom of a scrolling window.

I'm not talking about the aritfacts but the visual design of the UI elements - the screenshot is unfortunately so generic that it could be either plastique or fusion.
Still looks font related - there's also a cut-off to the right.

xrdb -q | grep -i dpiAlso what font do you use? (iirc the liberation or nimbus family had some issues w/ the extent declaration)
Finally: qt5-tool ships "designer-qt5" which allows you to click together Qt5 UIs. Can you reproduce the problem there? (Pass the window eg. a grid layout for auto-sizes as you might find them in the affected clients)

I am unsure how to get which font a program is using but I know my terminal font is "Terminal Font: Inconsolata\ for\ Powerline". I played around in designer-qt5 but I could not re-create my issue. Probably because everything seemed static. I am not experienced with qt5 programming using the designer app, so my guess is that I just didn't compile it and ran the possibly errorous code.

I solved it! I changed "Xft.dpi" to be 96 instead of 90. I did a complete re-install of my arch and installed things one by one and rebooted with every new program. Then I changed my configuration files one by one and started one of the "broken" programs to check its status. The only time the program broke was when I did

i had the same problem with Qbittorrent, for me, it helped:
export QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0before running qbittorrent
