dmraid - no raid disks - dmraid can't see fakeRAID set up in BIOS

Hi All,

Goal: install arch on a fake RAID.

Problem:
I created a fake raid in my BIOS but I can't see it in arch on the live installer

# dmraid -r
no raid disks
# dmraid -ay
no raid disks
#modprobe dm_mod
#

Gear:
Asus Hyper M.2 PCIe x16 expansion card with 4 Gen 4 NVMe_x4
Asus X570P motherboard

In the BIOS:
1) change SATA mode AHCI -> RAID
2) change NVMe RIAD mode -> Enabled
3) change PCIEX16_1 Bandwidth Bifurcation Configuration -> PCIe RAID Mode
4) CSM -> Disabled
Reboot
5) RAIDXpert2 Configuration Utility > Array Management > Create Array
6) Select Raid 0 (Tried RAID 10 first, but also didn't register with dmraid)
7) Select physical disks
8) Leave defaults for size, size unit, read cache and write cache policy
9) Select create array
Success! (note: top entry is just a SATA HDD, the 2tb entry is the 4 500gb NVMe drives)

Then I exit the BIOS and boot into a live environment and try to detect the raid, but dmraid/modprobe turn up nothing and lsblk lists the the 4 disks independently without any indication that they are raid members.

Is there something I might be missing here? I can't say I'm very familiar with dmraid.

As always, thanks to this amazing community and any who dedicate time to it!
