I have this 2012 laptop that has a US keyboard. I use the "es" layout with my window manager (fluxbox) via a simple
setxkbmap esin the init file.
I used to be able to type the brackets (< and > ) using the key combination AltGr + Shift + <Z or X >
Suffice to say that I could type every programing essential sign via some similar combination. And I need to be able to write with
Spanish signs, so for me it was no problem that.
But I updated/upgraded the whole system during the weekend and then I discovered that the usefull programing brackets where no more. Instead,
there are some useless variations, smaller, similar to guillemets, namely: ‹ and › . (I had to change layout to type that)
So, the question is:
What happened to the useful bracket signs? Where is the old layout? And how can I return to it?
