My second screen is detected but it looks black

I searched for something on the internet, but nothing helped me. I changed drivers from intel proprietary drivers to open source generic drivers, I changed from xorg to wayland, I also changed DE but nothing. This is my xrandr output:

It can't be a screen issue as it works with other devices with the same HDMI cable.

Re: My second screen is detected but it looks black

1. please wrap command outputs and file contents in code tags, https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode
2. "intel proprietary drivers" is not a thing - I assume you switched beween xf86-video-intel and the modesetting driver?
3. "changed from xorg to wayland" - the xrandr output is borderline meaningless on wayland

4. "I also changed DE" - what brings us to the more interesting questions:
   - what desktop environments specifically did you test?
   - does the output work on the text shell (see 2nd link below)
   - define "looks black":
      * can you move the mouse cursor there?
      * does the monitor say sth. like "no signal"?
      * does the bezel LED suggest the monitor is sleeping?
5. Did you check the systemd journal/dmesg? Any i915/drm related errors?

Re: My second screen is detected but it looks black

I admit that I'm a little embarrassed, but man... the problem solved itself. I think I hadn't fixed the cable well (although I was sure of it ...), I'm really a dumb. Sorry for stealing your time and thanks for your support, but now I don't know what to do with this post, do I remove it? Do I mark it as resolved?

You can either report it for deletion or mark it as solved.

Also, no need to be sorry.

Mark it as solved.  It is not a waste of time; it is a reminder that checking cables should happen early in the troubleshooting process.
