GNOME: no dash-to-panel?
Do I understand it correctly that Arch does not include "dash-to-panel"?
pacman -Ss dash-to-panel
shows nothing, which is too bad, because Gnome seems borderline unusable to me without dash-to-panel.
It looks like v45 should support Gnome 41: https://github.com/home-sweet-gnome/das … es/tag/v45

Two reasons:
1. It makes Gnome usable
2. Debian includes it. I figured Arch would have it too, being bigger. Or I thought it was bigger. IDK.

1. I am successfully using Gnome since 10 years without it.
2. I am not using Debian on a desktop and I don't care what desktop-related packages they provide.

Arch isn't bigger than debian by any stretch and definitely not in terms of packages being packaged in the repository. But as mentioned, nothing of this is relevant to whether it would be provided on Arch. It's pretty simple, no one of the active maintainers that have access rights care about the extension enough to provide it as part of the official package repository currently. It's part of the AUR where you will find relevant PKGBUILDs packages in the AUR have a chance to be promoted to the community repository: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_U … epository?
