[SOLVED] Cannot Use GDM

Hello, This post will continue this post.

I want to use GDM. But when I start it (with systems) I see an error.

How can I use GDM?

Mention in your original thread that you've abandoned SDDM.

You still need to check or post the logs, start with

sudo journalctl -b

from a failing boot: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_o … n_services

Which instructions did you follow to install Arch Linux?

That's useless and a single page from the pager, either redirect that into a file and copy from that or use the link I added to post to a proper pastebin.

You are either doing partial upgrades or have outdated mirrors, run a complete system update you should get llvm 13 and mesa 21.2.4 (... your kernel is outdated as well, any known reason for that?), in doubt make sure you use an actively syncing mirror with a low score, closeish to your physical location: https://archlinux.org/mirrors/status/#successful

Unrelated but problematic as well, you have multiple network services enabled. If you want to use NetworkManager, disable and stop iwd.

You can use GDM but several lower level parts of your system are so completely broken that GDM failing is just one of the many side effects. Run a complete and proper system update, chances are GDM will start working once the underlying issues are fixed.
