how it is possible to go back in terms of installing package

I installed all the packages at the time of first install whereas it is recommended to install only base packages, even though I knew I would not be needing most of the packages. Is there any way to go back to basic installation state without completely formating and reinstaling? That way I will get a lot of junk out of my hard disk.

Thanks in advance

Re: how it is possible to go back in terms of installing package

pacman -Q > /tmp/list.txt

go through and remove what you don't want

pacman -Qe will show orphaned packages
