fsck hanging on "force rewrite"

I've got a computer I'm using as a file server for backups. It recently started having issues booting, so I hooked up a monitor and noticed it seemed to be hanging during the file system check. I booted the computer from an Arch installer USB drive and ran `fsck -CVfy /dev/sda1` and I get the following output (sorry for the screenshot, I'm using a capture card as a monitor and booting from the installer so I couldn't just copy text): https://i.imgur.com/xIbfspv.png

I let this run for 4 days but no more output was displayed on the screen. I switched virtual terminals and ran the same command on all my other drives and they all completed without any errors within a couple minutes each.

Is this indicative of a hardware issue with the drive? If not, is there a way to restore the data? Or should I just wipe the drive and rebuild the contents (it is part of a SnapRAID array so I should have the parity data to do so, though if I can avoid this that would be preferred)?

Re: fsck hanging on "force rewrite"

I should also add that a short SMART test shows no errors.
