Changing driver from i915 to i965

Hi, guys. This is what I have:
# lspci -k

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller
	Kernel driver in use: i915
	Kernel modules: i915

So, before do anything stupid I prefer to ask: What would happen (if possible, ofcourse) if I change my driver to i965? Would i965 emule or behave like i915?
Thanks for the info.

Re: Changing driver from i915 to i965

i965 is a Mesa driver and i915 is a kernel driver. Both are needed and they are not interchangeable.

EDIT: for recent Intel graphics hardware the Iris driver is preferred over i965. See the ArchWiki for more on this.
