Cannot play sound on Bluetooth Headset

I have bluetooth headphones which previously used to provide audio output after the connection has been set up....
Now I have to manually set up the pavucontrol to Headphones(unplugged) to get the headphones working
And sometime it does not even provide sound even after manual configuration....
They pair up but I have no idea why my computer is not providing output via Bluetooth as default

While connecting it shows message that the connection failed but in bluetooth setting it shows connected and my headphone too signals me that it's connected
I have ufw as well..... I don't think a firewall blocking just sound instead the entire connection
I have pulseadio, alsa and pipewire in my computer
Edit: After I disconnect my bluetooth of headphone then I have to then go back to pavucontrol to set the sound back to speakers

What has changed between it working last and not? Did you get a bluez and/or kernel upgrade, have you tried an older known good kernel? In general for pulse to do an auto switch you need to add

load-module module-switch-on-connect

to your /etc/pulse/default.pa after the if... udev-detect block, otherwise it will not automatically switch to a newly appearing sink.

Yeah !! I did that but found no any changes
I displays that the audio has been switched but sound is still coming from the speakers.....
Let me try downgrading once

for confirmation that I did the process right

What did you downgrade exactly? pulse 15 got released in July of this year, if it used to work back then then downgrading that will not have an effect. If it's not pulse that's the problem it's either a regression in the kernel or the bluez packages.

FWIW regarding the connect module, you'd usually place it after the udev module got loaded, you can add it completely after the .endif but afaik it shouldn't generally matter much, I just remember to read somewhere that it hooks into the relevant detection method, you could also load it way later.

i have seen this a few times with a blue tooth headset, its been icky to sort out and depending on the kernel/ bluetooth version at the time i could sort it with altering settings in pacmixer if using pulseaudio-bluetooth-module, also one time i had to make use of the aur pulse bluetooth module packages. best of luck i def found that it was a struggle that lasted the entire lifespan of my headset >.> on and off.

if you havent yet i would look at some of the aur bluetooth pulse modules

there are several, many of them orphaned. so hopefully one of the active ones sorts this for you

Most of the relevant bluetooth work got merged into pulse 15, and it doesn't really sound like that's the inherent issue.

At that point if this was something you wanted to test out you'd rather switch to pipewire if you assumed an issue with pulse's bluetooth implementation.

i have no clue outside of vague memory that persists my goldfish brain on the subject. i havent used a bt headset in some time. i just remember between the ad2p sink issues and odd regressions, it became a headache on null volume sound system

How will I be able to store other version of packages
I just found the current version in my /var/cache/pacman/pkg/
so, my word for downgrading was just reinstalling the current version

for changes there to take effect.

Just reinstalling the current version of the packages isn't a downgrade no, see the Arch Linux Archive for how to get access to older versions

I placed the code after endif and also downgraded the bluez and bluez-utils package back from February when I had no any issues.....
But no sound is still coming from the speakers
Do I need to downgrade some other packages as well?
Do let me know
