bluetooth immediately dropping connection to headphones

Phones are JBL LIVE400BT system is arch up to date with 5.15.10

Here is the device info from bluetoothctl

The headset makes its connect sound and then immediately its drop sound.

I try to connect through bluetoothctl.

[bluetooth]# connect 65:A7:A0:2C:13:A6
Attempting to connect to 65:A7:A0:2C:13:A6

It stops there for a minute or so and then output from the scan resumes.
