Hi everyone,
I am slowly moving from Windows to Arch and this is my first post. There has been a couple of months since I dual booted Arch and Windows.
Anyway, I recently noticed that Ristretto 'Terminal' autostarts as minimized whenever I launch xfce. I don't use any display managers. The system is up-to-date. I checked .bashrc and xinitrc files and couldn't find anything.
Any help is appreciated.

Well, it seems fixed magically! Today, I opened my laptop and it wasn't there.
I made following changes since I created this post until last shutdown.
Installed xournalpp, usbutils, cmatrix and unrar.
I connected a graphics tablet via usb.
Somehow it has gone.

Goodbye ristretto. Welcome to terminal.
Ristretto stopped autostarting. It was all good until this morning. Now, a terminal autostarts as minimized when I launch xfce. I couldn't figure out why this is happening. Has anyone any idea about it?

Check ~/.config/autostart/ for any rogue .desktop files. See also https://specifications.freedesktop.org/ … atest.html

Thanks for your reply. I checked the .desktop files in mentioned directories.
There wasn't any .desktop file named as ristretto or terminal.
I took a look "Session and Startup" in "Settings Manager" application for xfce. Also nothing related with ristretto or terminal in "Application Autostart" tab. However, there was a saved session with a date of 30/12/2021. I don't know if I activated autosaving the last session (if there is such a thing). Deleted the saved session and rebooted. It seems fine now.
