Sound Not Working

Hello,
I installed Arch Linux yesterday, and discovered that my sound was not working.

The output of "pacctl list sinks" indicates that it should be working. This is the output when I am not playing any sound:

Sink #0
	State: SUSPENDED
	Name: alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo

analog-output-headphones: Headphones (type: Headphones, priority: 9900, available)
	Active Port: analog-output-headphones
	Formats:

However, when I do have sound on, I get this output

Sink #0
	State: RUNNING

Furthermore, when I check the sound settings in the MATE control panel, as well as the Pulseaudio settings (pavucontrol), it indicates that I should be hearing something.

I have checked alsamixer, and the sound is not muted. I am not sure where to go next when debugging this issue.

I am running a custom PC with an ASRock motherboard, and an AMD processor.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you

Re: Sound Not Working

Let's see whether this is a d'oohhh moment:

Active Port: analog-output-headphones

Are you trying to hear something over analog headphones?
Do the/other speakers/headphones work?
Did you try to re-plug them?
