[SOLVED] xrandr does not recognize HDMI (connected to NVIDIA)

I've intel graphic card and nVIDIA gtx 1650 in my Laptop, I swiched to Arch recently and can't get my HDMI external monitor to work, it is not recognized by xrandr at all. I think nVidia drivier works well as I've run `prime-run` many times before and it worked.

I've MODULES=(nvidia nvidia_modeset nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm) in my /etc/mkinitcpio.conf

If this helps:I noticed new thing, when I run sudo nvidia-prime-select nvidia to swich to nvidia, the HDMI works but my main screen does not

With that config as posted you should see more providers in xrandr and be able to explicitly enable them as stated in the second part of: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PRIME#Reverse_PRIME

Yeah and it doesn't work, so what is the problem? I already have the NVIDIA modules in `mkinitcpio` and built my initrd with it

Define "doesn't work", still the same xrandr output as in your original post? Should be impossible since that was for the "intel" rather than the "modesetting" driver. What happens/which providers/outputs do you see if you remove that config entirely and rely on autodetection (... remove xf86-video-intel explicitly to be sure it doesn't interfere)

You generally have a load of random graphics ddx installed remove all xf86-video* drivers.

And remove all these auto handle utilities like nvidia-prime-select and/or optimus-manager and nvidia-xrun and nvidia-prime since they are likely what unload/blacklist the nvidia driver. The only package you "need" is prime-run and the corresponding nvidia packages from the repos.

Yeah now I'm getting:

What I did new, I removed all xf86-video* drivers and all unneeded nvidia utilities, also I added blacklist nouveau into my initrd, and stil lthe same output above

By analyzing nvidia-bug-report, Nvidia's technician said that "The driver is loading too late", specifically after 8.2s (Xorg starts after 7.5s), and "only the “nvidia.ko” module is loading but neither nvidia-drm nor nvidia-modeset" is being loaded, however I've

 MODULES=(nvidia nvidia_modeset nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm) 

in

/etc/mkinitcpio.conf

. I don't have any blacklists, why they are not being loaded?

There was a blacklist in /lib/modprobe.d, it was blocking the modules from being loaded, I disabled it and now everything works great (it was because of bumblebee)
