How do you start X11 to begin with and what does your current config files look like?
As for the location of the actually relevant, not dated log: See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General

Then how do you expect to run on the nvidia driver…
The log is up to date, but how do you currently configure the optimus setup?
Using the first device section listed.
[ 4.096] (**) | |-->Device "integrated"
optimus-manager?
See the link I posted in #22 and configure your system accordingly. Make sure that *you* are configuring it and not some convenience script, so we end up w/ the desired configuration.
Offline
well i did it correctly i use optimus manager but still glxinfo uses intel

No you did not. Your xorg log proves that.
Don't argue with te facts, stop using optimus-manager, configure the systetm properly and test again.
This is going nowhere.

well i tried that guide but still no change

Moving to TGN.
You need to remove optimus-manager and configurations you might've made before attempting to use the linked steps. Which files are currently present in your xorg dirs e.g.
ls -l /{etc,usr/share}/X11/xorg.conf.d
you in general need to be more transparent about what exactly you are doing and more proactive in trying to post information. post the actual changes you've done and updated xorg.logs without being prompted for it every step of the way.
Online
fair enough i used that arch guide and followed it to a t that was suggested in #22 and tried to use the xorg.conf that was provided by nvidia xsettings but that broke my x it refused to work and so i reverted to the backup
as for my xorg logs this log is when i tried using nvidia xorg files provided by nvidia xserver settings https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nZvReD … sp=sharing
i removed optimus manager
as for the output you requested
then
ls -l /{etc,usr/share}/X11/xorg.conf.d
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d:
total 0
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d:
total 16
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 227 Dec 13 19:29 10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1350 Jan 3 14:03 10-quirks.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1429 Nov 6 12:10 40-libinput.conf

nvidia settings generated xorg configs are inherently broken on Optimus so that's not surprising. What are the contents of the two nvidia drm files. Did you actually do the necessary additional changes to your .xinitrc and/or the configuration of your display manager as stated in the wiki?
Online
Yes i made the nessesary changes stated in the wiki

Post your files, the nvidia configs and whatever files you adjusted to claim to have made the necessary changes as well as the current xorg.0.log please don't make us ask for this every single time.

Edit
Yes i made the nessesary changes stated in the wiki
What's moot in the presence of the bogus nvidia-settings xorg.conf, so please configure the system properly as explained in the wiki, do not add random interference from optimus-manager or nvidia-xconfig, post the resulting Xorg log and "glxinfo32 -B" output.
If you're unsure about something or the result of your actions cause a failing X11 server, ask and post the Xorg log you get - don't mess around by yourself.

wow guys after doing the changes in the wiki wine works

Sorry for bumping this up, but has anyone figured out the cause for this? I believe I have the same problem and switching to the Nvidia GPU once does make wine work again, even if I switch back to Integrated afterwards. However, this is a workaround at best, not a real solution. Not to mention that being with the Nvidia GPU full time discharges the battery quickly.
I started having this problem around late December after an update. It suddenly appeared on its own without me changing any configs and it's still present.
Offline
The OPs problem were bogus configs on top of optimus manager, ie. the root cause was a misconfigured system.
If you're currently using optimus-manager I'd suggest to open a new thread and post the xorg log for a session where wine fails - as well as the outputs for glxinfo and glxinfo32

Nevermind, that may not be necessary. I tried completely removing optimus manager, its own .confs and the xorg .confs it generated and now I don't have any problems with wine as far as I can see. If it turns out the problem isn't fixed, I'll make a new thread. And if I decide to go back to optimus manager, I'll ask what's up on its github.
