[SOLVED] Xorg segmentation fault together with nvidia-xrun

Hello fellow archers,

I have a Thinkpad T480s with a GeForce MX150 in addition to the Intel integrated graphics. Those are the drivers/packages I installed:

From what I could find out googling the warnings that pop up they are not very critical. I am a bit at loss why the segfault just pops up. Can you give me some pointers?

Thanks for the link! If I understand correctly the nvidia driver version nvidia 495.46 is affected by that bug.

I tried to get everything running using the nvidia-470xx release line. To install nvidia-xrun-git I had to edit the dependencies in the PKGBUILD.

Btw. I managed to get rid of the sideband socket warning by following the instruction from https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=256372.

I created /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf according to https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA … phics_only.

Running with the following ~/.nvidia-xinitrc

xrandr --auto
eval $(/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --start --components=pkcs11,secrets,ssh)
export SSH_AUTH_SOCK

exec cinnamon-session

did not work. Instead I started with

nvidia-xrun cinnamon-session

Hope that might help somebody else.
