Hello,
I'm about to replace my graphic card.
Both my old card (GTX) and new card (RTX) are Nvidia, so it seems they both use the same driver (I use the proprietary nvidia driver)
I can find any guide to setup a new card... and with my intermediate knowledge of how linux / Arch work, I'm inclined to think that mkinit will detect the new card, and, as all necessary driver are already installed, no specific action is needed on my part.
Maybe I will have to run nvidia-settings and check as there is a chance that some specific option will change between the two models, but I won't need to run some xxx configure script.
Is that right?
Regards,

If they are both modern Nvidia cards that use the same driver then you shouldn't have to do anything.

Thank you, so it's as I suspected and it's really great.
Sometimes, it's hard to tell Arch and black magic apart

For future reference : I did replace the card.
I very carefully did nothing else.
Works like a charm.
