Configure "tor" to use a bridge

The repository has "tor". Here is its description "Anonymizing overlay network". This means that when I run it, my normal browser is running as torproject? If so, how do I configure "tor" to use a bridge?
"Bridges help you access the Tor Network in places where Tor is blocked."
