[SOLVED] Cannot remove mesa

EDIT: Don't need to remove mesa, progl wrapper takes care of using prop driver for desired programs.

I am switching over to the AMD pro driver for OpenGL as I need it for Davinci Resolve. I have installed the AUR package for the proprietary driver, but I cannot remove mesa:

$ sudo pacman -Rns mesa

As a result, Davinci Resolve reports an unsupported GPU configuration. Any help appreciated!

amdgpu-pro comes with the progl command that you should use to run things you intend to use the proprietary implementation.-

Oh ok so that's what that means...

Requires running Resolve with the progl wrapper script. See documentation.

Which documentation? I can't find this anywhere, usage is not very clear at all.

Also, do you mean that I don't need to remove mesa? Does the progl script take care of using the prop driver?
