Can't update or install from https mirrors

Hello,

I can't update my system after fresh installation  due to errors like

"from mirrors.xyz.de : Failed to connect to mirrors.xyz.de port 443 after 7749 ms: Connection timed out".

It seems like I need to setup a proxy for SSL connections.

Please help

Re: Can't update or install from https mirrors

Don't paraphrase, what is the exact mirror? What is its https://archlinux.org/mirrors/status/ ?
What if you configure a better™ one?
Try eg. http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/archl … o/os/$arch (on top of my reflector list)

Re: Can't update or install from https mirrors

The critical paraphrase is "mirrors.xyz.de" which concealed the actual mirror at question, not how you ran the update.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
