[SOLVED]Cannot install anything anymore

Hello,
I've tried to burn a ISO to a stick but then it turned to this messy situation.
I wasn't able to burn the iso using differerent commands so I decided to get something from the AUR but I wasn't able to install anything.
I've succesfully installed Unetbootin but then it's not there and I'm in the same situation with yay and everything else I wanted to install.

Thank you in advance,
archie

Re: [SOLVED]Cannot install anything anymore

The only thing you need is a simple cp:

cp iso-image /dev/name-of-your-usb-stick

Followed by ejecting the USB stick. It must work. If it doesn’t, the USB stick is likely either broken or fake.

That’s the only thing that can be said, considering that you haven’t told us what are the symptoms of “doesn’t work” and provided no relevant error messages. It’s also unclear, how yay is even related to copying the ISO.

Sometimes I seem a bit harsh — don’t get offended too easily!

Building a package and installing a package are two separate operations. Your log shows you built it, but that's all.

OK now I've added this user to the sudoer file and everything works fine again except the very problem that lead me here.
The USB Stick gets made with CP but it won't show up in the boot options on start.

Re: [SOLVED]Cannot install anything anymore

cp /home/user/Desktop/gparted-live-1.3.1-1-amd64.iso /dev/sdb
This is what I use and then it's doing it's job till you can enter something again. If I reboot it cannot be used as a bootable device.

yes lol on another device it works so it's about boot

Re: [SOLVED]Cannot install anything anymore

solved, I just use ventoy, I can recommend it's very easy to use. Not sure why this won't work in other ways.
