Is this screen-tearing? Help me diag??? [solved]

Hey fine folks. I have a Frame.work laptop and recently upgraded the BIOS. I'm running Arch Linux and GNOME on Wayland. I can't THINK of any other system changes before this issue came about, but no one else w/ the upgraded BIOS is reporting it.

I have tried to create a new user account, and the glitch is still present no matter what user I'm using.

One funny part is that... I tried to run Kooha to RECORD the actual screen to show you the glitch, but when Kooha is recording (or, I think when the wayland screen is being shared...) the glitch goes COMPLETELY away. I had to record with my phone.

In case you can't see easily, this happens when the mouse hits the left hand side of the screen. The screen shifts about an inch to the right, and snaps back. Sometimes theres black lines, static or even white spaces on screen... Is this what is described as 'screen-tearing'? I have Timeshift saves, but haven't ever tried using them...

I really want to fix this glitching and ANY info you might have about it would be really appreciated.

Found my issue... its because of TigerLake IRIS graphics and a combo of [newly updated] softwares;

gdm - mutter - kernel 5.16
