i'm trying to run arch as a guest in qemu/kvm.
Installation is fine, but as soon as i install spice-vdagent and xf86-video-qxl (in order to get better integration), i can't reboot anymore : my virtual machine hangs up at reboot, before even loading initramfs.
If i reboot a snapshot, remove those 2 (3 with spice that come as dependencies) packages, i can then reboot and use the vm correctly (minus the quality of life).
Any idea what is going wrong ?

Thanks!
i think i've managed to do the first part correctly, :
enable 3D acceleration on the guest system select this vga with -device virtio-vga-gl"
but i can't find how to do the second part :
enable the opengl context in the display device with -display sdl,gl=on or -display gtk,gl=on for the sdl and gtk display output respectively
I use virt-manager, and can't find any "display" device in the vm configuration screen.
i guess missing the second part is the cause i can't boot the vm right now, with the error :
internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2022-01-26T13:21:17.066186Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device virtio-vga-gl,id=video0,max_outputs=1,bus=pcie.0,addr=0x1: opengl is not available

I don't use virt-manager so I can't help you with that but you should probably post your configuration and also check https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=273546 because the errors are the same there and I've shared the qemu-system-x86_64 command needed to run with 3D acceleration enabled for the OP to test. Not that they've taken any notice but whatever.

Thanks, again.
i managed to find the option in virt-manager. (futur reader : Display Spice > Listen type: None > Check OpenGL box)
Now i can use correct resolution for my screen, but i still can't automatically resize the virtual display (more precisely, it automatically adjust the resolution, but stay at a fixed 16:9 ratio, when i was used to have the ratio changing to whatever size was my host window display)
here is my full configuration (i believe this is it, but feel free to tell me if i'm mistaking)
