WIfi device not detected anymore after system update

Hi,
after updating my Arch Linux system on MS SP4 (can't tell exactly which package as I got 391 updates in one go) the wifi device is not detected anymore.
Current kernel is linux-surface 5.16.0. I tried downgrading to 5.15.12 which was running before the 391 updates but it still doesn't detect the wifi device.
So the issue seems to be actually related to the kernel version.
Can someone help me please?

How does that make any sense?

See the firmware announcement on the front page. You're likely missing the firmware for your card.
