VirtualBox: ArchLinux host with Ubuntu guest - Hash sum mismatch error

Hi all,

First, I want to make a disclaimer: I know some will think that the issue I will present is not related to Arch, but I tested the exact same configs in Macbook and Ubuntu hosts and it works perfectly in both of them. So this is failing only in my ArchLinux host

I have an ArchLinux host (kernel 5.16.5-arch1) with VirtualBox 6.1.32 installed and I'm trying to run a Ubuntu Focal guest machine using Vagrant and then run some software installation on it.

The Vagrantfile is simply this:

  config.vm.box = "ubuntu/focal64"
end

After bringing the VM up and running a "sudo apt update" I see some "Hash Sum mismatch" errors, like the following below, that keeps me from updating the apt lists and installing things I need into the VM:

I already tried using a different kernel, such as linux-lts, and then installing vbox modules with virtualbox-host-dkms but it didn't make a difference.
I currently have these installed:

core/linux 5.16.5.arch1-1 [installed]
community/libvirt 1:8.0.0-2 [installed]
community/virtualbox 6.1.32-1 [installed]
community/virtualbox-guest-iso 6.1.32-1 [installed]
community/virtualbox-guest-utils 6.1.32-1 [installed]
community/virtualbox-host-modules-arch 6.1.32-5 [installed]

And also checked if modules were loaded:

# lsmod | grep vbox
vboxnetflt             32768  0
vboxnetadp             28672  0
vboxdrv               540672  3 vboxnetadp,vboxnetflt

Vbox VM logs doesn't show me anything special.

Have anyone else experienced this issue?

I have the same problem, also some applications like firefox crash continuously and many visual bugs appear.
