[SOLVED] pro audio: MONO sound only played on left ear

Some applications play sound with only 1 channel, such as Solanum, the GNOME Pomodoro timer (this also happens in other cases, but I can't think of any). These get redirected to only my left speaker.

In Carla, you can see the audio automatically gets redirected to playback_AUX0.
In pavucontrol, the option to "unlock" the audio channels is disabled, indicating that there is no second channel.

Pipewire packages on my system:

Is there a way to automatically redirect mono audio to both audio channels?

PS: I think this happens only with pipewire-jack, so that's why it's in my post title.
Edit: This happened because of pro audio in pavucontrol.

If you use "pro mode" the assumption is that you do not want automatic mixing. If you don't use pro mode but an actual stereo profile upmixing should be relevantly applied.

What application is pro mode related to, how did I (accidentally) turn it on and how to turn it off?

The "Configuration" tab in pavucontrol should allow you to select other profiles.
