Postpone initializing additional screens until after KDE fully loads?
The subject says it all essentially. At the moment, I have to remove the HDMI cable any time before or during the GRUB bootload, boot into the desktop (past the greeter), give it a few seconds, and then plug the HDMI back in. This is because otherwise the second screen is initialized immediately, causing it to display a glitched view of the greeter and then when KDE loads the desktop is all fucked up and loses some functionality. The background is all black and there's no taskbar, right clicking on it does nothing and basically making my whole system a neat looking terminal with GUI support. I'd just like a way to hack in some kind of delay so that I don't have to unplug the cable all the time, and because the second monitor doesn't play nicely with the greeter anyways.

A slight improvement? Now, the second monitor has a desktop but no taskbar. The first monitor has no desktop, but a task bar. Everything else works fine. Not really ideal, for now I'm just gonna keep putting up with fiddling with the cable.

Try to remove the configuration from ~/.local/share/kscreen/ or deactivate the service so it doesn't switch the outputs forth and back during the session login.
