Nothing will change about the things we've outlined there already. In any case, the plasma fix should be part of 5.24 are you actually up to date and have rebooted and it doesn't work anyway? What outputs do you get for

cat /sys/class/backlight/nvidia_0/device/enabled
cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/device/enabled

What other X11 clients than plasma did you try that you say you can't do that in "any" X11 client? In light of the fix in plasma you could just write something else than "enabled" into the nvidia string with an udev rule or so (... assuming you can write to the file, not on a backlight having system right now so I can't check)

Re: I can't change brightness in any X11 de

sorry for late reply  im updated to latest version of plasma fully but no change i tried using xfce but it didnt do anything when i changed the brightness i tried building powerdevil from git to make sure the fix is in the code but no difference as for the outputs then here:

cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/device/enabled
cat: /sys/class/backlight/nvidia_0/device/enabled: No such file or directory

cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/device/enabled
enabled
