SOLVED - No sound in linux client for Neverwinter Nights

was searching high and low then i found the answer in the arch wiki!!

"If you want OSS applications to work with dmix, install the alsa-oss package as well. Then load the snd-seq-oss, snd-pcm-oss and snd-mixer-oss kernel modules to enable OSS emulation."

if you load those 3 modules, sound works in nwn linux client! yay!
